If you have the money get a turbo, not worth the hassle to top swap for the little gains. Right now I've got a 3.8 pulley top swap, headers, n* tb, ported sc and lim, few little things done to the heads. I can run it on 89 octane just fine as well. But it's still slow for what it could be with a turbo.

Honestly the HD part isn't the part that goes bad. It doesn't matter if you have a 4t65e or the 4t65e-HD, the "upgrade" usually isn't the first thing to fail.

If you stay stock you might need work done to your transmission.

Save up for the Turbo, get it, don't be an idiot with the car (like constantly just pounding on it for fun)

Save up for a TEP transmission. TripleEdgePerformance.com

He also has a lot of information on that website about the transmissions.

Im 24 and I pipe everything that stops next to me that doesn't have a old person driving it. raced a motorcycle today. Fast *** motor cycle beat me by alot. I like to have fun when I drive, my 94 lumina was so slow it lost to slugs in a drag race, didnt mean I didnt try tho. I just dont put money down. Turbo will add more power but more cost. Better economy I think to tho.

Haha no kidding. I go through tires like crazy, I always babied the car then I realized there isn't much of a point to it. I modded it to drive it fast, not to puts in it till I got to the strip.

And I rode in a turbo grand prix, wow that thing pulls hard. I'm excited to see his track times in that thing. Hes on 18 lbs of boost and e85 right now, stock 100k+ tranny. So far after how many pulls the tranny is still holding up.

Haha I just realized it's silly to be scared to blow up a $500 200 HP motor.
