Default Where is a decent performance shop in Utah,AZ,NV or Colorado?

Hello, newb poster here. Been on the net most of the day surfing to find a decent shop to work on my 02 Monte. Had Intense Racing build me a Stage 3 motor, used the owners 9 sec cars short block. New Intense stage 3 heads, cam etc. Fully built Intense transaxle and the Limited slip differential. But now they cant install it as the main mechanic is out for surgery. Crap!! So now I need to see if anyone nows of a shop out west capable of installing this unit. MY Monte is Turbocharged and needs that level of expertise to dial it all in. Adding the Coolingmist methanol system too, fuel cell etc. or do I send it to ZZP ? LOL now that would be sad!!

You've already bought this? Not to pour salt in your already open wound, but the intense LSD's are known for failure. And what are your goals with this car?

And as far as installs, go 4 more hours north to Michigan to ZZP. They will charge you more, due to the fact that you didn't go with any of their stuff, but still a great company.

The LSD's that failed were the first and second gens. They are on there 3rd now and have heard they made some major improvements, I'm still not going to run on though... I'm might go with a EP diff (LSD). Dynotech special.
Tim does have to get his back worked on...Which suck, cuz I wanted him to do my tranny.

Go to ZZP if that is your only choice, just for the install.. Then head back to Intense for the tune. Dyno Brain is great and really know's is ish...Don't know to much about anytuner ZZP has...

Ever hear of the twin turbo GTP that ran a 9.01?

That was the guy that tuned my car. Matt Meekhof.

Good enough to run under 10 seconds, good enough to milk almost 20 some horsepower out of a tune, with mild mods. =)

Well have YOU ever heard of the 8.9 Firbird...???hahah Differenct class...

I know ofMatt, he's a good guy. I might actually have him setup my CSC kit....If thats what I end up doing.

Not sure why they have a bunch of issue with the PCM's then...

Oh great, hope the LSD holds together, it is the 3rd gen. Crap!! Well the whole assembly already left to go to a shop I found in Vegas. When they get done then Brian will fly out to tune it and about 5 other Grand Prix's n Buick Regals. Thanks forverifing about Tim, I wanted him to do my whole install, then when Todd wrote me and said Tim was out, I was devastated. Hoped they were being up front about all. Now I have a shop called "Fast-n-Furious Performance" doing the package. Putting on the fuel tank sump, methanol kit, etc. They have Grand Nationals, Talons, the owner of the Sahara casino's Challenger and other nice cars in there being built. They are in a business park with the NASCAR track next door, Carol Shelby's world headquarters etc. So hopefully they are squared away. I don't know what I want to do with it. Just always wanted to take advantage of each improvement done to it and now here it is. Jheesh, took on a life of it's own. MontefrikinCarlostein!! Very nice Monte you have going for yourself. We don't have a Monte Club out here or even a GP club. Kinda blows, need people to bounce ideas off of. Cool I came across this forum.Nice people like you out there to provide some do's n dont's. Appreciate the input, I would have got back sooner, but in Vegas for a convention thing this week. Told Brian I thought about sending the motor to ZZP and he wasn't as you can imagineto keen on that. Didn't discourage it, just redirected the conversation back to the Vegas shop. Can't blame em, but damn I hope this is a good install. Did you ever see Scott's car run? I was sold the bottom end from his 9 sec. Grand prix, they said it had 10 passes on it. Hope it is a good strong motor. Todd said it was very over built and gave it to me for an extremely good price. $3,500. Do you have an opinion on it?

I have never seen it run in person, only on vids.

If it's the race block, thats a fair price, though not something I would have paid. It sounds like you will have MONSTER SS...Lets get some pics when you get her back...It's sound be a good setup, but what are you going to use this car for??? With methanol, I'm guessing track...

I have the same problem, all the guys I know on in the midwest or east coast, but we did get a few guys together for a meet this weekend.
