Default What size torque converter bolts?

What wrench do I need to take off the TC from the flexplate? I am swapping out engines and am almost done with the removal.

2000 SS Monte 3.8L

thanks

I've done it before, but I don't remember what size the 3 bolts on the flexplate are. I want to say they're 13mm but it's been a while, they could be 10mm... Just get a set of wrenches, if you're doing this much work you'll need some other ones...

I've got a bunch but I don't have any that fit. The closest thing I had was a 3/4 but it was a little big. I'm assuming it is 19mm but I wanted to be sure. thank you though.

Sorry man, I wish I remembered what it was... I know it sucks turning the flexplate and holding it steady to get each bolt out... Have you checked a Haynes manual?

Yeah I have one. It didn't say from what I could tell. I'm assuming that I can put a breaker bar on the harmonic balancer to make it stay. It's a pain though.
After this I have the motor mount bolts at the bottom and the bell housing bolts and up she goes. Can't wait to get it back on the road.

Do you remember how many motor mount bolts there are? Is it just the 2 in the frame?

you need a shop repair manual, I checked my Haynes manual when you needed info for the torque converter and flex plate and it has no specs listed! I can understand your frustration but I can't help. I guess you have to feel around to figure it out...Totally sucks, wish I could have helped...

maybe try rockauto.com for pics of engine mounts, it might give you an idea of what your looking at.

below is a pic from there, hope it helps. Or go to yourtube and see if there are any vids for what you're doing......
