I was looking around for performance chips or PCMs for a while and just recently found a lot of chips on ebay for very cheap. They come from legit sources with high ratings and i was wondering if it would be a good buy. I dont really plan on getting a pcm and was looking for a chip instead

 

Chips are bad for these cars.

Only get a tuned PCM from a vendor like ZZP or Overkill.

 

Alright, but what im really looking for is just to remove rev limiter and top speed limiter and gain some MPG's. What is the cheapest tune you know?

 

They are all pretty reasonably priced. You get a lot for about $100 after core refund

And you do NOT want to remove the rev limiter.

It's best to get a tune after you do all the mods you plan to do so you can get the most out of a tune.

 

X2 on getting a tune only once you have finished all your mechanical mods... Will at Overkill is excellent... He tuned mine in car as I lived close enough to him... I know there are members here who have had a canned tune from Will and are also very happy with it...
