I have a v6 3800 monte carlo 03 what is the factory hp of this vehicle??

 

200 hp 225TQ but that is not to the ground though

 

it varies... you are probably putting about 150 to the wheels.

 

thanks guys I was wondering now that I have put on the k&n air filter they say 30 to 40 gain and the borla cat back system I have says about 75 to 100 so I am looking at around 275 now and looking into the extreme turbo kit that will push about 700 hp and the supercharger is about 150 to 200 hp so I should be going pretty fast by the time I am done.

 

will all that really produce those kinda numbers?

30-40 horse power from the intake NO. maybe 10-15 hp on a good day

the Borlacat back system i have that system on my car and maybe got 5HP out of it if that even.

Then for the Turbo sure you can get 700hp out of it if you get a custom all aluminum block, aluminum heads, and fully custom built internals to handle the boost that you would be running.

Then even if you have that much power you will be blowing your Tans just punching the throttle to 50%

I may be wrong on this but i thought that the current HP record for the 3800 was in the high 600hp or low 700hp but dont hold me to that.

first off, he said air filter, not even air intake.

So he's probably not getting any HP gain off of that, just now has a filter he can wash.

Borla exhaust system, if you still have the u-bend still has a restriction. All you did was change the exhaust note.

i'm gonna say he's still putting ~155 HP to the wheels. (on a 20 degree day)

 

so I guess what I have been told is wrong?? I am glad I have joined this site you guys are alot of help in making my decisions on what to do next to my car!!
