Its really sad though, Ive been talking about getting this GTP for ever now and me and the guy have been talking. Hes wanting to go ahead and sell it to somone else cause of the cheap price he was giving me and he wants to make him money so he dont wanna sell it to me for the value of it so Im looking at a mustang as we speak, yeah yeah, Ive always talked sht about them and now its starting to look like Ill be driving one soon?? *sigh*

Yeah, Id think about putting monte badges on it but I dont wanna put these great cars down like that :P
The one Im looking at is a 4.3, thats a V8 correct? Dont they make turbo kits for that engine? I talked with the guy about the GTP and let him know its cool if he wants to make his money on it. I know how it is to fall into hard times.
I mean it doesnt mean I wont get a GTP but for some reason Im getting REAL into the idea of having a RWD car, and Im wanting somthing with a V8. Others Im considering looking into are camaros, mustangs, trans am's, or somthing thats rather reliable and got a V8, but this whole thing is for another day and another thread..
I know I talk alot of sht about stangs but Im starting to turn around about it?

IMO for the same condition, you're typically talking a good deal more for a camaro, TA, or mustang vs a gtp. With mustangs, you've got to watch out because they aren't all fast- look at the last of the 5.0's- like 215hp or something stupid low.

^ Agreed on Mustangs not being fast...what ussually happens is most come from fwd V6's or even rwd v6's...so if they get a RWD V8 in the 200-300hp range they typically get all excited and say ZOMG I have a fast car now.....just a matter of time/progression then they become use to that power, get beat up on by a faster car, then need to get a car with higher hp...happens to many...
For me, if looks aren't too Important, I'd look for an '04 GTO in the low teens with 350hp, or an '05/'06 in the high teens/low 20's with 400hp...pretty good power, way better interior then older f-bodies/mustangs with more interior room...
Best of luck on that search for a Mustang though!

4.9 V8 (nicknamed the 5 point 0): 215hp 288 lbs ft
Value: $3,300-$6,600
Or you could get the Cobra with a whopping 240hp and 285 lbs ft
1996-1998
3.8 V6: 150hp 215 lbs ft
4.6 V8: 215hp 290 lbs ft. In 1998 it was 225hp 286 lbs ft
Cobra 4.6 V8: 305hp 300 lbs ft

1999-2001
3.8 V6: 190hp 220 lbs ft
4.6 V8: 260hp 302 lbs ft
1999, 2001 Cobra 4.6 V8: 320hp 317 lbs ft
Value: $4,925-$12,150
2002-2004
3.8 V6: 193hp 225 lbs ft
3.9 V6: 193hp 240 lbs ft
4.6 V8: 260hp 302 lbs ft
2003-4 SVT 4.6 V8: 390hp 390 lbs ft
2004 Mach 1 4.6 V8: 305hp 320 lbs ft
Value: $6,925-$21,600
2005-2009
4.0 V6: 210hp 240 lbs ft
4.6 V8: 300hp 320 lbs ft
2007-9 GT500 5.4 V8: 500hp 480 lbs ft
Value: $12,200-$44,700
2010
4.0 V6: 210hp 240 lbs ft
4.6 V6: 315hp 325 lbs ft
GT500 5.4 V8: 540hp 510 lbs ft

3.7 V6: 305hp 280 lbs ft
5.0 V8: 412hp 390 lbs ft
GT500 5.4 V8: 550hp 510 lbs ft
So as you can see, it really took until 2011 before the Mustang became interesting again. I know that hp and torque doesn't say everything about a car, but when we are talking about muscle cars, it's almost mostly about power and 1/4 mile times.

Only excepting I'd say is the 04 and such Cobra 390HP, I believe underrated from the factory and responds very well to Mods...Great car, but your gunna pay for it in good condition...
