Very good info everyone! I'm gonna take it in shortly and see what the issue is. I'm probably not gonna get the entires trans rebuilt though because I don't have near enough money. Ill you guys know what the diagnosis is.

I had it checked out, and the trans does have to be rebuilt. Thanks again all!

Probably only needs a soft rebuild...
maybe mention that to the trans shop, Might get lucky like I did and get it rebuild for 1K ($1000.00)

I know somebody who can rebuild the entires thing for only $1500. I figured I might as well do the job right the first time and make it last as long as I can

mine had the exact same problem, slipped at stop signs and rarely jerked between gears, needed a rebuild. I only paid $1600 for a full rebuild and 12/12 warranty here in St Louis. Drives so much better.

That's prolly what's gonna happen with mine. It goes in on Monday morning. How many miles were on yours when you had the trans rebuilt?

Mine had 130,000 miles on it .

mine had 154,000. I think I was able to get so far was because it was flushed regularly.

ugh seeing these rebuild answered is scaring my wallet lol, i have the same prolem going on right and it randomly jerks between 30-60mph....sounds like this will be next years income tax fix. right now my car is at 94900. this is the car i always wanted so she must last. how much a tranny rebuild usually cost from aamco, and what all do they fix/replace?

Everywhere I went quoted me anywhere between $1600-$2200. You'll have to shop around. Luckily I knew someone who could cut me a deal. Good luck!
