HI I have a 96 monte carlo with a 3.1 and i took the tranny out of a 95 lumina that i was told was good but the transmission has been in fail safe since it was put in. I am wondering if there is a way to get it out of fail safe or what i can do about it to make it better. Any ideas would be great

Hey don't worry too much it is probably minor, i'm sort of almost in the same boat as you. From my experience and research, it seems the 4t60e varied in programs and i believe ran in two year increments. 92-93, 94-95, 96-97 with that being the last year for it. Do you still have access to the donor car? Have you tried to switch PCM's? If not, I would be looking into getting yours reprogrammed. Also make sure all your electrical connections are secure
