Swap almost done!

Ok more updates... i found a before video i shot 2 days before the DOHC died. I also have a new video i took yesterday. yesterday I: drilled the stripped bolt from the ICM so i could replace the coil, replaced the hood strut clip, replaced passenger side fender liner, finished the 9C3 police cluster install, replaced the dash trim, and uploaded a new tune that has modified shift tables. here are the goodies:
Before:
After:
all that is left for me to do now is:
-Replace the starter as i think the solenoid was bent and the starter doesn't always engage.
-have 3" Cat welded in, and put band clamps on exhaust to seal it all up.
-replace some bulbs in the new police cluster as the LED's i put in are too dim.
-start porting heads and then the LIM and SC
-before SC install removed screen from TB/MAF and use my large external MAF and get that tuned in.

Ok so my build up of parts is complete. I still have plenty of porting left to do but i figure i'll post up some pictures of what i have so far...
I still have more work i want to do to the chamber and to the intake bowl and then i need to move on to the SC. but got the new valves, SLP rockers and springs/retainers/locks

yeah it caught my attention too... turned out someone put iridium plugs in... i think they were the wrong heat range for the engine. also the mech that did the install suggested 10w40 oil. and the headers leaked until i got under there... so new plugs, sealing the exhaust a little... i still have some leaking but i will be topswapping soon so i can wait.
but after all that the KR is gone and i was able to run more timing at a nice A/F. so that 14* must have been break in of an engine that sat and needed plugs! shows what a little TLC can do!
also some of the factors that increase tendency for detonation that cause KR are in the heads... since they are being replaced with a set that has been gone over completely with new valve train... i shouldnt have any issues at all. the only problems that could carry over from the current setup after the swap would be in the bottom end which is known to be solid.

Glad you got that sorted out that easily. Make sure you're careful to clean out the plug holes in the new heads before you put them on, my machinist decided against it and sometimes I think thats the cause of my miss.
Those heads look amazing by the way.
