you cannot install "chips" in these cars, you have to tune or replace the PCM, i.e. the computer.

they do work, and with proper tuning its a good base for future mods, like exhaust, cold air intake, and other doo-dads...

No chip. And the Monte's don't like their brain box being messed with. Buy anither PCM and swap it out. ZZPerformances is only $90. They even advised against me buying an HPTuner, Said it's too easy to mess things up.

With a "canned" PCM, it's only good for so much improvement, and not tailored directly to your build.

It's always better to have someone tune it in-car, or to buy a tuner yourself. That yields the best tune possible in terms of performance, and fuel economy, and protecting your precious pistons.

And Wayne you are absolutely correct. Even though alot of people say companies say this to make money, honestly, a good dyno tune after each mod will allow a professional to milk horsepower, and do it without damaging your engine. ZZP did a great job on a Dyno tune, and I am honestly excited to go back.

Get your PCM retuned 1BadSS. It will save you money, and for 90 dollars, you can't beat it.
