Default Supercharger Pulley Swap for 3800 2

What pulley and belt should I use to swap. So I can get more boost. My boost is lagging for some reason

Be careful man.. You could literally pop your engine or melt a cylinder.. Theres a couple "precautionary" mods you should do in preparation..

To start, if your boost is lagging, then it sounds like you've got a maintenance issue. That needs to be addressed first before you start modding the car.

Beyond that, when you are ready to start modding, there are lots of options for pulley sizes from a 3.6" down to a 2.55". The first question is, what supporting mods do you already have to be able to drop sizes, and second how much KR do you currently have?

How much boost are you actually getting?

5psi is on the low end of normal. Depends on a lot of factors though - blower wear, outside temps, etc.

Thinking more about 'lagging' boost, have you you looked at the bypass actuator and made sure it was operating correctly? I wonder if it has slipped out of position or if it's binding up during operation?

Unplug the BBV solenoid and see if it drops even more. If not, bypass the solenoid and check again.

Completely forgot. Iíve asked so many people. I believe itís the supercharger bypass line but thereís a line that starts in the front of the engine starting at what looks like a bypass and then wraps around to the alternator. Then to the back of the engine. Anyway. That line is cut and I havenít been able to find a replacement for that. Let alone could I find someone that actually knows what it is. So if anyone knows what it is and where I can find it that would help. That might be the source of my issue for sure.

The vacuum line to the bbv? Lol, yeah, that's your problem if it's damaged.

I wouldn't mess with trying to get OEM line, just go to the parts store and get the right sized vacuum hose and some vacuum T's that match. No need for anything fancy.
