I really like the sound of a superchager or a engine swap to a 3.8 with s/c. However between school and a part time job and I dont think I can come up with that kind of money soon enough to please me.Surely there are alternatives to a supercharger that gives similar performance increases right?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Turbo is cheaper, you can put the CT Performance kit to the stock 3800 engine with no other mods, but that is a $3000 kit. You could always get one of those fake turbo things(turbonator) that is about $60. I dont know, horsepower is not a cheap thing, you gotta be ready to shell out $ if you want horsepower..

 

Thanks for the suggestion. I failed to mention that I have a 3.1L. I dont knwo if that makes a difference to advice or not. Perhaps someone could guide me to to somewhere where i could purchace performance parts for my car. I feel like its the most underpowered car available.
