To the wheels I believe they are near 200.

Because I remember reading that a fully built NA car which would end about 190 whp would just be close with a stock L67.

That is crank horsepower, he is asking for the wheel horsepower.

Depends what kind of dyno you're talking about mostly- and to an extent, how much of a knock monster the stock L67 car is.

Bone stock in good shape (ie little to no knock), they seem to pull right about 200-205 whp on a dynojet; on a mustang dyno it seems like 190-195 whp is more common. Thats why I usually just ballpark it to ~200 whp because that should put you roughly in the ballpark.

A stock L36 does about 180 whp for comparison purposes.

You are right- most of the NA setups, even with a cam top out right under 200 whp. There are a couple of higher dynos- I want to say one was ~230 whp- but that is on a fully built setup (heads, big cam, etc). I wish we'd see more NA builds, but it just doesn't make much sense to spend $5k on parts for an NA build that barely breaks 200 whp, when you can spend the same money on a turbo setup and have over 500 whp.

Yeah, I read that an '02 Grand Prix S/C stock produced 202 HP to the wheels, and if you're pushing 234 to the wheels you're way above stock standards. What kind of cars can you run with pushing those numbers? I'm guessing the 2004 and previous Mustangs (stock) you could smash, what about the 5.7 Camaros or TA's? It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when a V6 can smash a V8 and make it look good. And if you're looking for a bigger power increase then dump your Supercharger and upgrade to a turbo charger. Punch BadMontes into youtube and you should find an orange turbocharged 2002 Monte Carlo SS, he estimates it puts out 535HP to the crank, not sure what that is to the wheels.

It really depends. I'd guestimate my Regal GSE is ~230-240 WHP (figure 280-290 crank). I've never ran an LS1 Fbody, but I'd imagine that with a good driver we'd be very close- a great driver would likely get me since they ET a bit better than my 13.81 best. I've ran a few SOHC 4.6 Mustangs at the track and have won by a few car lenghts. I've beat quite a few V8 cars. Keep in mind, our boosted 3.8s run very well down low but die up top (at least with the stock valvetrain), so I'm talking drag racing only. Racing an LS1 or 05+ Mustang GT on the highway would be suicide for me. Boosted 3800s are great stoplight to stoplight but tend to fail up top, so if you want to look good, race from a stop only.

2003supersport's Monte probably runs a bit better than my GSE too, since he's got 3.29s and a higher stall than my stock L67 drivetrain.

Does the stock L36 really make 180 to the wheels? That's about 20 HP more than I would've expected- I was figuring 20% drivetrain loss.

well, i ordered an intercooler yesterday for my monte, should be here wednesday and installed the same day since i have that day off haha. hopefully it'll kill all the knock i have, and im even thinking about dropping a pulley size if all goes well. me shop said they'd redo the HP tune for me since it wasnt what we were both expecting.
hopefully, i'd really like to see 260 to the wheels if im able to drop a pulley size

and yes, i've run on a few 4.6's
and i've just demolished some 5.0's

i've never been able to get next to a camaro, but the Z28 guys always get jealous they dont have my hood on their car haha, it pulls a lot of attention
