something to give you that edge?
ok guys not sure if anyone already knew about this but i found this site that offers a posi differential for GM FWD cars including the monte.....its a bit pricey but I think it would be a good add-on for those of us looking to get an edge on the competition and also for those of us planning on a forced induction set up to get rid of that torque steer!...what do you guys think?

Huge waste of money.
All it is is a clutch based LSD- very similar to what Intense has been making for the 4t65's for a long time. In a straight line, it has been proven that stock diff cars can launch just as hard if not harder (look at the record 60' times on 3800pro); and they have proven to be less reliable (obviously by adding another wear component to dump more clutch material into your fluid)- not to mention, the clutches eventually must be replaced.
If you really want an LSD for you car, this is IMO the best route to go:

its a gear based torsen type LSD made by GM for the 4t65- it is exactly what their Ecotec drag racing team used. There are no extra wear components either.
However, really- spending $600-1300 for a diff upgrade is a waste IMO in these cars. If you really wanted to get hardcore in auto X- then I'd pickup the torsen; otherwise if you just drive street and drag strip- you're much better off with keeping the stock diff and spending that money on other mods to make you actually go faster.

I agree. Ever done a burnout? It won't be a one wheel spin. The diff's work very well, and until you are looking at BIG HP, stick to the basic mods. I'd beef the tranny guts before and the dif' itself before going that way. The dif' in a 4T65E-HD has an extra clutch plate, 5 instead of 4, I believe. One of the upgrades in the HD.
