Smoke out of my exhaust

Smoke out of my exhaust
Hey everyone, so last night I took my mom out for her birthday and on the way home I was getting on the interstate and as I got on the gas I looked in my rear view mirror and I saw a puff of smoke come out of what I assume was my exhaust. When I got the car I took my dad to help me inspect it and one thing he always looks at is to make sure there is no smoke coming out of the exhaust. Which there was one and to this day there is still no smoke coming out. I got home and went behind my car to see if there was any smoke and there was none. I also had my dad stand behind the car this morning and make sure that when I started it that there was no smoke and again there was none. It was just on that particular occasion that I have ever seen smoke puff out like that. It was just a single puff and that was it. So I'm kind of baffled, does anyone have an idea of what could be going on? If something is going on. This is the first time I have seen anything like this. Normally when I see a car smoke it's a constant stream of smoke following the car. Like I said this was just a single puff when I got on the gas to get up to speed.

Ok, that makes me feel better. Thanks chibi, do you recommend having DOD tuned out? I was thinking of just leaving it but as I do more research it sounds like its a bigger pain then it's actually worth.

Only if you really want to go straight pipe or louder exhaust. When DOD kicks in, your exhaust can sound bad.
You are lucky to have an 06 though, in 2007 it's harder to get rid of that.
If you have the extra money to get it tuned out, go for it. You'll notice a tiny bit of decrease in MPG (maybe 1 mpg?) so I wouldn't let that deter you.
