RE: Shift Kit

Direct from ZZPerformance:

Shift kits can increase the chance of hard part failure but they do keep the clutches from slipping and burning. We do not recommend this kit for cars running 20" wheels.

RE: Shift Kit

i apoligize for bringing back a dead thread, but i figured that it would be better to bring an old one back then to make a new one. I was wondering how a shift kit would effect everyday driving, like if i'm not slamming on the gas, is it still going to feel like i'm driving a manual transmission? Also, buying a programmer would effect shift-times, fuel consumptions, emissions???, horsepower, and torque, not just shift times, correct?

RE: Shift Kit

if you drive a clutch and it is jerky then your not driving it correctly and need to learn how,.

But as for your question Now it wont feel like a stick shift.

how ever it will feel firmer when it shifts. weather your getting in to it or not it will shift harder because it raises the pressure on the tranny and causes it to shift faster therefor feeling harder and being more efficient

depending on the programme ryou get it can effect all tha tyou listed also yes.
hypertech dose do some to the fule and timmign etc... and also has a option for the tranny presures BUT not recomended to use if you have a shift kit in the car.
it can cause damage if you do both the programmers shifting harder and also the shift kit

i have the pcm from 3800 p. and it changed my shift points (each gear seems "longer") and my max rpm is 6100 should i even try a shift kit or should i learn how to shift it myself first would that even make a diff?
