Default Performance Tuner ideas??

Hi all,
I am new to this forum so please be gentle...lol. I am in the market for a new performance tuner for a 2002 LS. Do any of you currently have one installed or any good suggestions for me? I looked at a HP Tuner, but the whole credits thing threw me off. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

HPTuners comes with 8 credits, enough to tune 4 cars. So I wouldn't be turned off by it.

It's really your only option if you want to do the tuning yourself.

oh ok, i get it now. so the credits are for the number of cars, not the number of times i can use it on one car, right?

What does anyone know about the Diablo Trinity Programmer? Everywhere i have read about it says it was a great investment and wel worth it for all the performance they got out of it. Has anyone used this before?

Right. You use 2 credits to program a VIN# and you can tune that VIN# as many times as you want.

do not spend your money on the diablo. all of the hand held programers are a waste of money. the major vendors for our cars wont even carry them. most of the hand helds are about $400 when HPTuners is like 550? the hand helds you can change stuff for tires and use thier pre set settings... no promis that your car will not have KR. not even sure if they support the 3400 in your ls. i wouldnt trust it if they did anyway.

what all have you done to the car that you need tuning?

You really can't go wrong with the HP tuners. You can tune just about every thing gm makes with ecm with it.Plus it's not giving you a preset choice of two lame tunes you can fine tune the snot it.Great for dyno tuning to will be dyno tuning my girls cavi with one her in a few weeks.
