Angry performance problem

Ok, I got the 3400 and sometimes it dosnt have all the power it should, other times it it does. There is a real noticable difference. Now, there is nothing obviosly wrong, the car runs great, it just dosnt run so great all the time. anyone know whats up. Ive also had this problem with a ford i had that had a 2.5 v6 dual cam.

Is this difference in the same type of weather??? Because if not, its normal for the car to feel a little less powerful in hot weather vs. cold weather. Also, if your defroster, or AC is on, you may feel a little less power than with out it on, because both kick on the AC unit which takes HP to run.

At ZERO degrees outside, I would say its not the transmission heating up.

When does your car shift out of second? If I recal correctly, it shifts out of second around 75ish MPH right? If this is true, it is normal for 3rd to feel less powerfull, even at a higher RPM. Because your pushing through a lot of wind resistance at higher speeds, and the power just isn't there to push through the air resistance at higher speeds. So 4,000 rpm in 1st gear is going to pull harder than 4,000 RPM in 3rd gear.

When your car seems to be running slower than normal, do you notice any hesitation or anything? Maybe some sensor is going bad...

no, just plain loses power in the middle of the gear, has a little bit of a lower of a sound to it to. its not that is wind resistance i can feel the HP drop.
