Default PCV Valve, where is it?

Does the supercharged 3800 have a PCV valve? I wanted to check it out on my 2004 Dale Jr but can't seem to find it. I printed a location off from Autozone but it must be for a regular 3800 because the picture looks different than my engine. It shows it under the map sensor on the picture I have. Thanks.

Thanks alot. The funny thing is I almost took that cover off to check if it was under there. I didn't notice if mine had pcv engraved on the cover. It looks like it has some type of gasket on the cover that might have to be replaced if you take the cover off. I'll have to check with the parts store. Thanks again.

There is a gasket that goes under the cover which appears to be a dealer item only. I ordered one and it probably won't be in until next week.

Wayne, if you don't want to wait for the dealership, Advance Auto/Autozone/Pepboys/waddever sells gasket material in small rolls. You can use a utility knife to cut your own properly sized gasket out of it. Stuff is cheap too, like $4 if I recall correctly. Worked for me a bunch of times during my SS M90 install for hard to find gaskets (the coolant turnaround). Right now my throttle body gasket is even this stuff- it works great!

Thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind for the next time. I already paid for the gasket when I bought some other stuff at the dealer. It was only $3 plus change.

I finally changed the PCV valve today. The old one was still in good shape but I put the new one in anyway. Actually the old AC Delco valve looked just like the replacement AC Delco valve I put in. The lettering was exactly the same so maybe its been changed before. The old gasket for the cover was a pain to get off. It was really stuck on there.

I just have to change the plugs and wires and the car will be fully tuned up.

I have the 2004 Dale Jr. Monte Carlo SS 3.8 supercharged engine. I bought a new PCV valve. My son took it apart and can't remember how it goes back in.
Just a blank plate and two bolts. Does the spring go into the SC first or the valve? I assume the hole points down into the SC. The PCV valve doesn't feed through.
