Painting My Engine Cover

Painting My Engine Cover
So I will be painting my engine cover. Picking up the high heat paints, white, red, and black. I will also be getting high heat clear coat, and some more plasti dip for my center caps(the back 2 have silver specks cause I ran out of plasti dip), and possibly VHT red caliper paint too because I plan on painting my calipers. The cover will probably come out looking like Ashley's just cause I like it and the way the colors go with my monte. I am not ordering letter covers, I will be doing some expert masking that I learned the trait of when I plasti dipped my Blazer badge when I had it(ha). Scotch brite pads are in the list too I think? Lol. I already cleaned it with Fantastick OxyPower and paper towels.
Here is what i'll be working with(picked it up to day for $10 from a nearby junkyard, they had another one at least(i had to look for them in trunks of monte's myself) if anyone is interested).

I need to go get a new anti-freeze container too, that thing is so nasty on the inside, and you can see all the grime from the outside of it too.

Got a pic of your plan? Just finished mine just waiting to clear it,
And a quick tip might want to move your Amp power wire to your Bat

Update on the project
It looked promising at one point!
Then it all went to **#%%%!!
^that pic is after several hours of trying acetone and sanding to try to fix it. I've got it as smooth as I could get it and I'm going to buy another white can and try to fix this..
