I just recently put a new timing belt , plugs, and wires in my 96 monte. I started getting the SES light on again. Checked the codes and had multiple. I had 2 EVAP system codes which I knew what the cause for that was. I have a hole in the feul filer neck to the tank. The code I was most concerned about was the P1870 code which according to my book is a "Transmission Compnent Slipping" code. Does anyone know if this is a minor problem or am I looking to have to replace the tranny in the not so distant future?
