ops in 2001 3.8 MC SS

ops in 2001 3.8 MC SS
I know that the oil pressure sending unit is located near the oil filter. Is it best to jack the car on the right side and can I access the ops from the left front fender wheel opening? I'm a little physically challenged and i'm looking for the easiest way. Please help
