Sunday, Ol YellaJAC goes into the shop for a Trans Rebuild. How many ways can I say, I'm getting excited! I'll have to learn her peddle all over again. She's bound to be a lot more Spunky when I get her back!

Thanks guys! I talked to the Trans Shop today. They are expecting Ol YellaJAC to be waiting for them come Monday morning! He said 3 days? I'll give him 4! At any rate, I'll be Cruising this w/e. All Nice and Legal!

 

Ol YellaJAC checks into the Auto Hospital tomorrow for some Major Transmission Surgery! She will be out of my care till Thursday. I'm already anxious for her to come home!

 

So I had a dream that my Trans way replace with a nissan 7 speed trans. And a jet pack. I guess I am full of anxiety! I'm past Ancy, and have move on to Dangerous Levels of Anticipation! I'll be going over to World Transmission II on Monday, although I don't expect Ol Yella to be ready till Tues. But the owner said he would install the Spark Plug Spacers on my downstream O2 sensor. So i will be delivering that and getting a report. I really REALLY want to know what was wrong with the trans. It was working fine when I bought the car. It said the TCC was bad so I had all the Trans Sensors and Valve body replace, had the old parts in hand so I know the new one went in, and yet the car still said it was bad. Then there was the almost non existent 3rd Gear. No codes for that.
Well Tuesday it will be fixed. Wednesday it will pass inspection and I will be Cruising my Beloved Ol Yella in all her Glory!!!!!

Thanks George, was there this morning. They didn't get to start on her till Friday. So she will not be ready until Wednesday. But I can't pic her up until Thursday. I just got moved to the 4 to Midnight shift and have to ride in with a friend. And the Mrs. Leaves by 7:30am. I've been waiting for this for a year now. A couple more days is not going to make that much of a difference. Right?????
So how long is yours going to be down? I know you gotta be feelin it as bad as me. The other night I had a dream that they replaced my Trans with a jet turbine. The car literally could fly. Landing was a problem though, she didn't have a Hoover mode.
The guy said that the problem with my Trans is very common for the 4T65, 4t65e and 4T65 HD. It's a slippage of the Torque Converter. That's what set off the 741 code. So even thought I replaced the TCC that really was bad, as long as the torque converter is slipping the code stays. He said the bad TCC caused the converter to go. At any rate, Thursday I'll have her back with no codes. Then it's an oil change, 50 miles, then to pass emissions. But that's still not the end. She'll just be street legal again.
