Default oil

I know my car says 5w-30 o nthe cap, but sence it's summer time should I use 10w-30? Just wondering I would like some input onthis because I am changin oil saturday.

5w-30 and 10w-30 will have no viscosity difference in summer heat. The "5w" is the viscosity in cold temperatures. So when its hot, both oils will have a "30" rated viscosity. I'd just stick with the 5w-30

you can do 10w30, i can pretty much guarentee you if you go to any oil change shop or dealer that has an oil tank whats in it right now is definetely 10w30, even though they say its 5w30, its 10w30, i've seen it before, and the majority of bulk oil sold is 10w30

yeah thought sp ima do 10-30w, but whats really best will any of it hurt my car because of its thickness?

no, my car is supposed to have 5w20 and i'm running 10w40 in it right now, the hemi's have a crazy tick in them so i'm trying to quiet it down a bit, i've heard the hemi's brand new still have the tick...it drives you nuts sometimes
