Default Noise from under the hood?

Hey, I was driving my car to work tonight and I heard a noise under the hood. It only happens once in awhile when you accelerate or brake, and sorry if this is in the wrong spot i didnt really know where to ask it at. Thanks!

Yeah, you're being a little vague Stencil. It could be a number of things, but if it's ticking at all, then check the oil. Don't let that run low.

Sorry its just kinda hard to explain. Its kinda like the noise of bottoming out. Its like a scrapingish noise. My oil is good, it will just make this grinding scraping noise when your stop or let off the brake.

Sounds like you need to check your brake pads & rotors

ya seems like your ginding the metal from the pad on the rotor but idk about the acceleration part... could be your dust shield rubbing in your rotor or it "possibly" might be a really bad wheel bearing

Is it possible it is a worn or broken motor mount? Also could it be a bad ball joint or tie rod.
