is it the 3.8l or the 3.4 l ???

if its the 3.8 l you could go get a supercharger off of a wrecked one or something...that might be a nice little upgrade

if your going to spend the money on a programer, get either an HP tuner or the DHP Powertuner. you can do much much more then your adverage hand held tuner. i'd start lookng for a cam or rockers for it. a good site for parts is 60degreev6.com they have a forum there aswell as a store . deff do the 180* T stat. or fastforwardperformance.com for an underdrive pulley. but getting big power out of this motor is hard without a turbo or SC

other option like said is an engine swap. either to a l36 or l67 (3800 or 3800 SC) their aftermarket is very big. with the l67 the sky is pretty much the limit when it comes to power there are now 4 cars in the 9 sec 1/4 range with that motor!

no way id be able to engine swap, i got the cash but i live with my parent sso theyd cruicfy me for even bringing up the idea... i bought a throttle body off ebay for 15$ and its all working. I just wanna port and polish it. I am decently skilled with a rotatry tool, and I know pheonix has a banging explaination on it. So i got the extra throttle body just incase i mess up and dont wanna destory the one in my car. So basically i follow the steps on ur page and just swap it out? This one has sum gunk on it, what can i use on it? Also i ported and polished my maf, what can i do about cleaning the sensors?

the one thing you need to keep in mind with the 3x00 engine TB's are they tapper inside so if your not careful you can grind thru the wall of the TB! i did that with the 3100 TB i made for someone. its no big deal though... i used whats called quick steel... its like a puddy that hardens kinda like JB weld. i used that to patch the area and add material so i could port the TB more then i normally could.

as for cleaning the MAF...i used those blue paper towel looking shop rags. and gently wiped the electrodes. i strongy warn anyone attempting this, that you risk damaging the sensor, so do at your own risk. also after cleaning i recommend disconnecting the battery so the car/computer can relearn the fuel trims. since the sensor will operate more efficently the learned trims will be off. cleaning the temp sensor (IAT) is also a wise idea

if you have a 3400 you could do a 3500 top end swap you can get turbo it if you would like there a cam regrind ,ecu tuning, higher compression ther is allot you can do with the 3400 they are good motor i would not do a 3800 swap personely but to each is own
