ok so update to the plan a bit. im sure it will change 1000 times before its done.

the turbo will be the last step... but since im gonna rebuild a LQ1 anyway i am gonna track down some total seal rings for her. and spend time porting the heads. im gonna try and tap as much power NA out of her as i can. I figure with what i already have and what i plan, 275hp at the motor is very likely.

 

ill give it another week and you'll be goin for 300 at the motor lol

 

without headers designed for NA it will be impossible to hit 300 hp... but im looking into a design that i can make and easily convert to turbo later....

The collector on them is too big. 3" !! Would be ok if I were going nos but for sub 300 hp NA 3" is too much will loose too much tq. 3" is good for a turbo but no point buying these to cut them up for turbo manifolds.

Besides I have my own design ideas...

 

yeah, i dont have the monte anymore but i had planned to get a set of headers made for it. i wasnt gonna drop 1k on some when i could get some made for 600
