Default Need Help Choosing Rotors 2006 Monte SS

I am going to make a big expendature of my allowance on performance rotors and pads. I have heard EBC is a good brand, however I have seen some pretty scary reviews of them on the net.

Below is a link to Brake wharehouse and thier Carbon Z performance Drilled & slotted rotors. I would get the Bright finish zinc plated ones 4 rottors and pads $622, shipped to my door. seriously considering tese.... EBC brand are about the same price. Opinions please? They are going on a 2006 Monte SS

Thanks!

Brake Rotors - Brembo, Centric, C-Tek, EBC, Power Slot, Power Stop, Royalty Rotors, SportStop

I like the rotors that have a treatment done to them, not just a coating. So if you went down and checked out the PowerSlots with a cryo treatment, those are pretty nice.

When you have JUST a coating, the second the pads wear the coating away it opens it up to rust and where is the protection now?

Although it is your dime, I like treated rotors for that extra level of protection against warping.

Another place you may want to check into is R1 Concepts. The shop my friend works at uses their rotors exclusively. They may just be lucky, but have never had a come back due to warpage or any other problem.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY EBC. I had a set warp in less than 10k on my monte.

Powerslot Cryo treated are awesome! I FINALLY spent the money on them and I only wish I would have done it sooner.

I agree, the EBC rotors suck. I had a set that warped within 10K also, and those were not cheap rotors.
