I had the water pump go out on mine. It would only leak while it was running and it would leak behind the pulley where you couldn't see it. The belt caused the coolant to mist onto my radiator and that was where I thought the leak was coming from. It was pretty easy to change the pump. I wouldn't want to do my rad though.

maybe it could be the water pump idk how could i tell if it was the water pump it only drips when its on but i cant fined wer its leaking at

The only way that I could tell was because I was looking at it with a flashlight at night. That's what let me see the tiny water droplets being thrown onto the radiator. I wasn't even overheating, the only indicator was the droplets.

the best thing is do a pressure test to see if it holds pressure. if you go to all the hoses and then check the pump and radiator. i ended up finding out my pump went on my 3.5 as well as the uper radiator hose. fixed them both. i did the pressure test twice do to making sure i fixed the leak. also to find out if there is no other leak while i was under the hood. helped when i was trying to get all the air out as well.

The water pump is a strong possibility. My 3.5L needed a new water pump at approx 65K. I'm now at 165K with no more water pump issues, but I think it's pretty common on the 06-07's to have a water pump fail early in life.

i am still wondering why the pumps break early in the engine life. i had my truck mustang mt dads cougar he gave me wear out. with a lot more miles on them.
