hey guys I was not avoiding you all yesterday just busy at work and trying to get the car up and running .

The motor is up and running just fine but the transmission started to leak so I parked it and it was towed back to the shop this morning . I wish I was there yesterday when the first cranked it over to get a vid but he called me 5 min after he started it so thats that . I can get a vid of it running when he get that trans leak fixed but it my be this weekend . If you all want me to ?

I spent all morning trying to get all the transmishion fluid clead up in my garage this morning and thak god that is done !!

 

Man that sux on the trans leaking hope u can get it fixed so u can drive it this weekend

Personally, I only wanted a vid of the first start. All the rest just feel meaningless. Kind of like a babies first steps. LOL

 

True that man it wish I could bottle the smell of a new motor their is nothing like it !!

Update !! 9/7/11

The new side cover for the trans will be in tomorrow and will be on the car by tomorrow after noon so god willing I should have my car back tomorrow and everything back to normal !!!
We had taken the side cover off this weekend and had it welded but today we found out that there are 2 pinhole leaks in it so that did not work :0(
Man it has been a long 3 weeks with out the car !!!
I am so ready to have it back !!
I don't know how I am going to Handel it this winter with out driving it !!

 

I know the feeling I blew a motor in a daily driver once pulled the motor the next day and it took three months to find another motor. It was fun reassembling everything and trying to remember were all the stuff went. I hope you get back on the road soon.

So which outweighs the other - the frustration of waiting or the excited anticipation of getting it back? I'll bet those three weeks have felt like an eternity, but it will soon all be over.
