Yes. Lots of threads on that. Dont use a chip they dont work get an actual tune instead from a performance shop. Could just be your gauge cluster is dirty take it out and spray it with compressed air if that doesnt work you got a lose wire somewhere.

Yes you can put a supercharger on a non-supercharged Monte but some parts are needed. I dont know every part by heart. Some companies have a conversion kit which is a bit pricey but you can use this site as a reference to what is needed in order to get it done. ZZPerformance - L36 Supercharger Kit #ZZ-L36SCK
Just do a lot of research before hand and it shouldnt be too hard.

As for the performance chip we really dont use them, we get our pcms tuned by either getting it done in person or buying a canned tune from a 3800 aftermarket company such as ZZP, Intense, W-Body Store, and 3800 Performance.

I really dont know what to tell you about your oil pressure guage, im sure someone with more experience than me will drop in and shed some light...

For the oil gauge, your sensor could be finicky or it's the stepper motor for the gauge itself. The motors are a common problem and cause gauges to fluctuate randomly or just not work. You'll have to remove the cluster and either replace them yourself or send it away to be repaired.

Also, a few of us on here have our tunes done by Will at Overkill Motorsports Tune... Extremely happy with the results... He will do canned or in-car tunes...

I wonder if there are differences in the bottom end and valve train of non supercharged models and supercharged models to handle the extra HP.

There is a compression difference, if you are using a non-boosted bottom end you will have higher compression and use boost more effectively. Strength wise? These blocks are solid.

With the nonsupercharged bottom you need to run premium with the l67 you can get away with 89. I think doing the top swap on a na motor has like 20 more horse then the stock l67.
