Default "low coolant" light still on

Okay so as alot of you may know I just got my car back yesterday after a engine swap. It's still a L36 engine but hey 80k miles for $600, im alright. Anyways, I drove it home yesterday and my "low coolant" light was still on. Now mind you I just had a complete motor swap done, only thing that is original are, tranny, radiator, battery, and wire harness. Why is my light still on?!? and also I noticed the temperature go up slightly last night too, not enough to worry about it but I attached a pic to this thread so you have an idea where exactly it was. It wouldnt go past the last line I circled and it seemed to go down when I put it in park. It doesnt necessarly overheat when its running normally. I did play with the pedal a little . anyways if you guys could help me get this darn light off that would be great. Thanks

In your radiator is a sensor that tells the car if the radiator is low, that sensor could be gunked up and reading improperly. Or not even hooked up?

That spot you circled is the stock fan speed temperature.

So my issue is that sensor? Im guessing its a very easy fix right? I'll have to go out and check it out here in a few minutes.
So that "stock fan speed temperature" is normal?

Well I'm going to assume that the fluid was changed :P, and the system was bled, and all of that with the engine work.

I just got back from working on it and found that the sensor is bad, I did clean it off completely and plugged it back in but it came back on, so I just disconnected the plug and the light turned off. Just a temp. fix until payday this week then I can go buy then sensor and go get it inspected. Heres a pic of what I found inside of the radiator. OH and the shop was kind enough to take the Dex-Cool out and fill it with regular coolant.

When they took the DEX out, did they flush it about 5 times to make sure every drop of dexcool was out first??? Whatever was left over is going to react terribly with the green stuff.
