Default Looking for a tuner.

I Can't find the thread for this so if some one could help me out that would be great. I don't have any exp in tuning or using these tuners. Are they easy to under stand? I'm going to use it to try and improve performance and other things to. I just want to know what should I get that is easy for noobs to use. I will eventually end up getting a turbo kit and thought I might be able to tune it my self. Thank you for your help.

tuning is not easy, the best tuning software for our application is hp tuners it does pretty much everything imaginable but if you dont know what your doing you can grenade your engine pretty quick. hp tuners has a forum you can get on and read read read is the best advice.

also maybe a local to you on the forum here could help, where r u located?

What kind of build and all are you trying to do? If you just want a little better than stock then just get a canned tune..

Ill prob just do that then but I will eventually after I get the car paid off buy a turbo kit and get the tranny upgraded. but that might be a year or so. I could pay it off now but I'm trying to build credit.
By the way. what canned tune would you suggest?

Honestly I would do a dyno tune. In my opinion thats the best way to go. They get everything dialed in for your car and can change things you want changed. I've had my pcm sent out to get tunned and I've done chips and I've done the hand help tunners. They work a little bit but I've always noticed the best improvments with dyno tunning.
