Leaking antifreeze
#11
Yea, I would definitely put the proper level of coolant in the overflow container and see if that solves your problem. I really hope its that simple. There is a line on the container, you should really only have about 1.5-2 inches of coolant in the bottom of the overflow container.

do a coolant pressure test this way you don't have to guess where's the leaking coming from. i don't think it's coming from the resovior. coolant elbows is my guess. the O rings on the elbows do worn down and won't seal coolant from leaking out. here's mine that i replaced at 45k miles. they very easy to replace and only cost less than $10. dealership will charge you over $300 just letting you know. but i would do a pressure test first to be sure.

It is not the coolant elbows because there is no antifreeze anywhere on the engine itself. I had the guy who was doing my alignment who also is a mechanic look under the car when he had it up on the lift. He did not see anything on the underside of the engine. He also looked under the hood and did not see anything. He said it was probably like I thought and that the coolant overflow tank is way overfilled and the coolant is probably coming out the overflow tube and is soaking into the insulation and its going to the bottom and dripping out. yesterday when I looked at it, the bottom of the insulation was soaked with coolant.
None of the heater hose connections are leaking. I'm going to put the level back to where it is supposed to be and see what happens. Thanks.
