L82 to L27 Swap
Alright guys, I've got a '95 Monte Carlo LS 3100 and a '95 Buick Regal Custom 3800. The engine in the Monte grenaded, and the Buick is the opposite case.
I'm trying to swap the L27 (3800) into my Monte, and I'm wondering what I'll need. Any fabrication, and wiring alterations, etc etc? Also, what're some good cost effective ways to make power other than getting a supercharger for it?

Not sure how different the s1 3800 is from a s2. A L36 is pretty easy. Bolt in and plug in with a 98/99 monte 3800 harness. I just don't know how different the s1 plugs are from the s2.
Are you sure you really want to stick in an s1? That's just an awful lot of effort to go through.
As far as mods, the 3800 in general needs some for of boost to make decent power. If you don't want a supercharger, there is always a turbo or spray. But even the s2 engines don't make much power NA, and you'd be starting 30 hp down from that. If you want to stick NA, id just do an intake and exhaust to get the sound where you want it and leave it at that. No sense in spending thousands for 20 or 30 hp.
