Default Knock Sensor and Crankshaft sensor

Hey fellas and gals.

Im new to the forum. I have a 01 Monte SS that the following codes came up
P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit low bank 1 or Single Sensor
P0332 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit low bank 2
P0336 Crankshaft position sensor "a" circuit range performorance
P0420 Cat system efficience below threshold bank 1
P0480 fan 1 control circuit

A little history. The car has 150k on the odometer, ive had it since 80k. I have replaced the tranny at 130k. The car use to cut off while driving but it would turn right back on. Now it car will run "fine" for a while and it cuts off and wont cut back on until it cools off.

The check engine light is on and the abs lights comes on and goes off randomly. I have the knock sensor but in the Haynes manual, it doesnt have exactly where the KS goes. it just says above the oil filter. Am i an idiot and am i just missing it. Or is it hiding behind something.
Also I cant find the crankshaft position sensor to save my life either. I have access to a lift if thats easier than jacking the car up.

Thanks guys and gals.

i believe on the 3.8 the knock sensor is just above the started in the water jacket. not positive though. and the crankshaft position sensor is behind the crank balancer.

I went on google and typed in 3800 knock sensor. Simply stunning.

And then I typed in crank sensor...

The knock sensors - the diagram above told you where it is, get a big wrench

Crank sensor is behind the crank pulley (harmonic balancer), see above diagram

Your catalytic converter is probably clogged

And fan connections on the radiator

Thanks guys. I'll get on that knock and crankshaft sensors today. Could these be the cause of car shutoff?

Yep, crank sensor will make your car randomly shut off and not want to start for a few minutes

I bet a faulty crank sensor would cause a misread in the knock sensors as well. If your "suggested timing" from the crank sensor is off. Your PCM may assume that your actual regular detonation is pre-detonation and cause it to register as knock.

I changed the knock sensor now the crankshaft won't come off. Any suggestions?
