Default K&N Air Filter

I am about to get the K&N air filter kit and was wondering how hard it would be to install it. How long it would prolly take and so forth. Any help would be great.

It's probably one of the simplest mods you will ever do. Depending on your skill anywhere from 30 from setup to cleanup to 1 hour if you have to take it slow to 2.5 hours if you are a complete putz.

I had done it to my 3400...

it took me about 35 or 40 minutes to do by myself with little/no knowlege of what I was doing. very easy, just follow the directions.

how is the change in performance?
Gives it a bit more peppyness. Roughly about 10 hp and better throttle responce.

The big bonus is you don't need to buy another air filter again so it is worth the cost right there.

Flipping the engine mounts .... I was able to feel that a LOT more than I did the drop in K&Nstock replacement. Granted nothing other than the filter itself is removed or replaced for a drop in, but they're good for a bit of power.

Really simple, just take of the Mass Airflow Sensor Boot between the Throttle Body and the Airbox. 10-15 minutes tops.

Hi All
Just installed a K & N FIPK (#57-3045) this morning, took all of an hour, regular hand tools needed
only "odd" thing needed is a #25 torx bit for the ECM cover screws. Nice increase in power and throttle response, and the best part, now you can hear the supercharger whine better!
