Default Just got a couple new parts

I've been acquiring all the parts for the swap and I'm almost there. Next on the list are LS6 valve springs, XP cam and some sort of headers/plog and DP. I have the LIM and all the pulleys already.

Nice. Good choice on the cam too. It's gonna wake that 3800 right up

Lookin' good! It's going to be a whole different beast.

I'd strongly caution you against the LS6 valve springs- check this out:

That is one of my LS6 valve springs that failed while my wife was driving the car easily. LS6 springs are known to have issues- the 3800 community tries to ignore them- but if you search the Corvette forums, you'll find them.

There are better options- Crow Cams #105 springs are excellent, the PBM #110s have a growing reputation, and GM's L76 #90s have a great reputation too.

Yeesh, that sucks. I have some time to figure out the valve springs. I'm planning on starting the swap this weekend. Then adding the cam at a later date. I originally was going to do it all at once but money is the issue. I did some cosmetic stuff too, the car is coming along nicely.

Awesome! Good luck with the swap, and just remember that it's not as hard as you might think.

I love the idea of the swaps into these 5th gen cars. I never realized how many guys are diving into this...

If you run into any snags or need some misc. pieces, let me know. I think i still have a bunch of odds and ends left from my l67 days. If you need anything I have, just cover the shipping and its urs.
