Default I dont get it

I raced my cousin in his 07 tiburon gt with nothing done to it and lost. We were side by side doing 50 and did 3 beeps and we both took off and I had about a bumper on him and all of a sudden he just passes me. I dont get it. I have exhaust work done and a cold air intake. And he has just a 2.7v6. Any input?

It's the range where the 3800 falls on its face.

HV3 and ER Rockers + a tune will help that out

The 3800 doesn't do well in the range you are racing, the HP actually drops from like 200 to the engine to about 160. It's really not that great from a roll on the highway.

The HV3 insert and ER Rockers helps push the powerband back to that spot, to bring back the engine to the near 200 HP it should have.

You can't buy a tuner, or software easily. You can buy HPTuners for quite a lot of money, or you can have a company send you a new computer that you plug in. If you go that route, I would recommend Will (:: Overkill Motorsports ::)

HV3: ZZPerformance - HV3 High Velocity Intake Insert #ZZ-HV3NST

ER Rockers: ZZPerformance - ER Ratio Rockers #ZZ-ERROCK-GP

Plus doing some exhaust work, like a front Powerlog and downpipe will help too lol

It's a good amount of modding and such

Like everything else, it's there to work with other mods, nothing fantastic on its own. But it really does help. I noticed a huge difference the day that I did my plog, HV3, and ER Rockers and got it tuned.

The insert gets placed in the plastic UIM. You remove the runner insert that is already in there and then put that in.
