Question HPTuners vs. ZZP 1.0 PCM

Hello,

I would like to know what the difference is between the two. They seem to accomplish the same in the end. The differences are cost and ZZP 1.0 PCM is a one time whereas HP Tuner VCM Suite can be used over and over.

Thank you for your time.

Buying a ZZP tune, they just load safe values to a computer and mail it to you.

HPTuners, you sit inside your car and use your cars information and data to make more personalized changes.

With ZZP would I be able to buy one from a yard first and send in or should it be mine?
What is expected gain on a Stock motor?
I know with bolt on's it will up accordingly so I am asking for stock or near stock as a baseline.

I see with ZZP that you can download .bin .hpt. What hardware is needed and/or any software needed to install?

You would need tuning software to flash to your PCM.

Either DHP (for the .bin) and HPTuners (for the .hpt)

We use HPTuners on Jess's cavi.An we tuned it on the dyno. It's better than a mail order tune even if you don't use a dyno an do a street tune
