No, the way to remove the s/c oil is with a squirt bottle head & tube, then refill.

i thought the stock supercharger on the 6th gen was oil fed from the engin oil. what i mean a oil resivuire that is conected to the oil filter like an adapter to resiviure to supercharger hooked up by lines?
Nope, the oils have two different purposes- the SC oil is mostly just a thin gear lube.

I changed my supercharger oil on Friday. I used the squirt bottle head method and it worked pretty good. The oil was fairly dark. How often do you guys recommend changing it?

Once a year. You'll be suprised at how much fluid is gone after a year of driving, and how dark and nasty it gets.

I run the specified supercharger fluid, but as a heads up, GM released a bulletin awhile back approving synthetic 5w30 motor oil to be used in the supercharger as well. If you want to save some bucks and aren't necessarily concerned with top performance, this may be an option to some. I was always a stickler for using the real SC fluid, but GM officially saying its OK makes me thing it'd be OK for someone on a budget.

Default Sc oil

All who are interested in knowing........
Go to the supercharger/ turbo section of this forum.Look for " changing
sc oil". I had the same questions then. It is really easy. when I get a good day
I will take some photos of the procedure. Someone on here suggested
that I do that. Just take a old 409 bottle or something like it. rinse it out real good.
Then get a glass jar or something large enough to squirt the old oil in.
Use a turkey baster to funnel the new ( 8oz's ) oil into the opening.
Done.

WOW...ok. Mine has only been changed once and I have almost 89,000 miles on her. Is it hurting it with it only bein changed once with so many miles? After reading this I'm gonna get ready and change it when it gets a lil warmer out...stupid 21*
