I finished my build and its all back together, but it wont start. Its cranking, not very consistently though, and just wont turn over. Its all hooked up fine, and yes Im getting spark, and fuel. My coil packs are all hooked up, etc. Someone on cgp said it could be the crank key. I cant figure it out.

Time to double check EVERYTHING! evetylittle sensor, every wire, plug gaps, plug wire, firing order, check everything you touched while in there

Thanks guys, and alien I checked it all a few times. Ok so we sat for about 3 hours and narrowed it down to the crank key or crank position sensor. Guess I get to pull off the harmonic balancer again *yuck* I guess whats happening is that the sensor is getting a bad reading throwing of timing like crazy causing it to almost run in reverse.

If all your coils are working correctly, then chances are it's your crankshaft position sensor. Did you make sure to line up the harmonic balancer and the gear inside? If not, then your crank sensor isn't reading anything right.

 

Well it has to be right or the bolts wouldnt have gone in correctly.
