Morad Parts Company
3455 W. 140th (service road)
Cleveland, Ohio 44111

P (216) 671-3736
F (216) 671-8406

sales@MoradPartsCompany.com

Hours: M-F 9AM-6:30PM
Weekend pickup by appointment.

There is his phone number and email to get a quote. I'm sure the $700 figure is for a gen 3, gen 5's are usually a bit more steep. He runs a wbody junkyard, so its going to be parts only- you'll need to get your own fluids and gaskets.

Luckily the fluids and gaskets won't take you anywhere near the $1300 though

Morad is great. Both Erik and Ed are very helpful and very friendly, and are a pleasure to deal with in general (which is more than I can say about most of the W-body vendors).

There is almost always a top swap for sale on clubgp in the classified section, and there is often more than one complete top swap for sale. ( clubgp.com/newforum - go down to the grand prix parts for sale section)
The going rate is about $500 + shipping for stock blower, lim, heads, crank pulley, tensioner, injectors, and fuel rails. Some include the belt as well, and some might include gaskets (although head gaskets are pricey so i wouldn't expect them to be included for a $500 setup but you never know). Most setups are OBO, so you could probably get an even better deal or may be able to work out a trade with someone.

04MonteCarloSS -
Your sig says that you have an Intimidator with a modded setup. Are you asking about switching your gen 3 blower out with a gen 5 blower?
Or are you inquiring about doing a top swap on a different n/a car?
The OP was asking about doing a top swap on an n/a SS, not doing the gen 3 to gen 5 conversion.
They are quite different swaps. The gen 5 swap is definitely less labor intensive (if you are working with an L67), but requires slightly different parts than a standard top swap does.
I just want to make sure you are not confused when you go to buy the parts.
You don't want to top swap that Intimidator, as it is already supercharged.

The original post in this thread (and most of the information about the $699 deal) is for someone who has a non-supercharged SS and wants to put a supercharger on it.

What you are doing is something completely different.

The OP's question was whether he should buy a gen 3 or buy a gen 5 when he bought the supercharger.
