No one likes getting a smart *** answer from anyone. though i haven personally done the swap myself it has been done. heres a link. his was a ls6 though but more or less same block. for what its worth i would say not to bother with the ls4 as i have one and no one makes an intake manifold let alone a set of headers for it. any of the guys who have done cam swaps and rockers dont see a great gain and i think that relates to the intake manifolds poor breathing do to that obstruction in the path of the tb. here you go. hope it helps.

Hey,

Not many people are going to JUMP to help you out if you come on the forum and your FIRST post is rather jerky, and saying we are all going to give you stupid crap as an answer. Ultimately though we will all try to talk you out of doing that engine swap, because the aftermarket for that engine just isn't up to par right now, and a lot of people are rocking the L67 with mods, or even a turbocharged L36.

What are you price ranges and goals with this project? Have you thought about any other types of engine swaps? Like the L32 3800 series III Gen V supercharged? Like you said not many people have done this (5.3) swap, though it can be done. I do not have any real links to people doing it, but maybe if you give us your goals we can help you more. And also maybe if you introduce yourself in a nice proper manner.

If you know it can be done, why are you asking us for help?

First thing first. Please do not come in here with all that attitude cause your are going to be shown the door very quickly and with no help what so ever.

NOW..

As far as the swap is concerned, i have "HEARD" that its been done, but no one is really giving out any info on it.

On the other hand, you say you have 4 yrs of experience BENDING A WRENCH. If thats the case, swap out your 3.4 and drop in an L67. Its practicly a bolt on. There are so many aftermarket parts on it that having 300+ hp is not unheard of.

But then again, what do i know. I haven't been BENDING A WRENCH for 4 years.

I've been TURNING a wrench for the past 30 years.

As everyone else has said...come on dude, it practically sounds like your telling us all off before you even get to know us. Loose the bad attitude and maybe you would get some answers.....

Yes, you could swap the 5.3L, I have never done it, but heard of it done, don't know of any curve ***** to tell you about.....

However, you have a base model LS, therefore you do not have the suspension upgrades that SS models have, nor do you have the brakes that newer SS models have...So you will be giving a car 303hp that is designed to handle 180-200 hp...
