I dont know what computer is inside the stock air box, i was thinking it was the ECU. After installing a short ram air intake i noticed the computer no longer has somewhere to sit so i just tied it down with wire to the body. When driving it gets really hot and dont know if its ok for it to be exposed to the engines hot air. Can it be in hot temperatures? Where can i put it?

 

Have heard of this problem before. Some have solved this by using a mounting bracket like linked below.

Youre talking about the PCM correct??

Ive had mine out in the open on my last 3 cars with no problem.. I used plastic zip ties to hold it down.. Mine also get quite hot also.. Thought it was normal.

 

Yes it's fine for the PCM to sit in the engine compartment.

When I did the CSC install, I used one of those PCM trays that were linked. It works quite well.



Only had to drill and install 1 bolt for it
