Default Craigslist Tuning

Just this on Craigslist.

Craigslist Tuning

As a reminder, I have rebuilt the engine and tranny and added a Cam, mild porting, CAI and a few oter minor mods. Input from the knowledgeable about pricing, value, questions and concerns to raise prior to tuning etc. would be appreciated. I have looked for other tuning services but come up with zilch. Don't really want to shell out $500 for a tuning program either.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about $225. Honestly I became a member of a local forum and found guys on there more than willing to tune my car. I am waiting until I get all my stuff installed but they have not even asked for any money. I figured I would give them $50 just for the help. Now that does not include a dyno pull so...? But even a dyno pull should only but $75. Correct me if I am wrong

My problem is I have been having trouble finding someone local as there is no Monte group in Vancouver and none of the dyno tuning shops I have the software They all want me to provide it. I suppose I could go looking at other auto clubs...

$500? You know you can pick up a used powrtuner off clubgp for about $200 now. Heck, I saw one go a couple months ago for like $180 (granted it didn't have the A/D inputs) Plus, the powrtuner is wide open, so you can tune any 3800 car you want- and with the new tiny tuner release- it has more adjustability than HPTuners does.

If you don't have the time to learn- $225 isn't super terrible for a good tune from a reputable tuner (especially if it includes a couple dyno pulls at the end to get it dialed in and see what it makes)- but I'd see if they have ANY experience with L67's. I know in general that tuning is tuning, but each engine has its own oddities, and you'd hate to be their first guiena pig on an engine they've never done before.
