Default Carbon Build Up?

I recently purchased a 2006 Monte SS 5.3lV8 Supercharged and am having hesitation problems when I put the petal to the floor on start. I've added heet to remove any water & will add carb cleaner next. I will also try Sea Foam as I have seen posted on other topics. My question is, how long/many miles before carbon build up will appear? I hope this is my hesitation problem. I use premium gas as suggested and have tried several diff. stations.

Any Help?

Tom

hm.... 5.3L Supercharged?

it could be an electrical problem. does it only do it when you first floor it? try changing out your plugs and plug wires, change your oil while your at it.

Yes. But after I added heat the other morning after about 15 miles it quit. I don't know if it is water or just because the engine was warmed up. Since I bought it from the dealership it started and has gotten worse. I live in Northwester Wisconsin and I think the previous owner had it stored away for the winter. We still get cold nights and warming up in the days, thats why I thought it could be water. I guess if I can't get it to quit, I will bring it in & have a diagnostic run. It only has 18000 miles on it. Thats why I was wondering also about carbon?

I don't think it is carbon with that year and those miles. Take it in and get it checked out let us know what it is.

do you have any lights on on the dash board? doesn't sound like carbon on that new of a vehicle, but it is possible, how many miles on the car?

It has the 5.3l V8 in it. I thought it said supercharged but I am not sure. I don't see any online that are stock supercharged so I could be wrong. I am new to sports car lingo & buying so Hmmm!
