Earthquake,
In short, just about anything can be supercharged. Eaton
superchargers have many kit's for those that are willing to shell out
the bucks. By the time you invest your time and money on modifying your
non-supercharged engine you will I am sure find it much easier and in
some cases less costly to go purchase a new go fast car.
I myself own a 2003 3.8 SS and once thought of a Supercharger upgrade.
Just my .02......

It would be more expensive to actually try to supercharge a base engine. There is a lot of headache involved in trying to do this. It is actually easier and more cost efficient to actually do an engine swap that already has a supercharger on it. Plus a lot of times you will have to upgrade the transmission to because it can't handle the torque that a supercharger produces, but if are still interested try www.zzperformance.com they have superchargers that will make a huge difference, plus i think they are working on a turbo kit also. I hoped this helped.

you know, that doesn't sound bad at all. Do you guys think an engine from a GTP supercharged will fit right, or do you think i should just take the supercharger off of it? I have no clue how to put it on or anything so i was just gonna have it done proffesionaly.

Earth,
As Joe noted, you may have other issues involved by just trying to add the supercharger. There are internal componets that may have to change as well as trans and computer mods. Have you checked around town for a junk GTP?

Earth,
Intimidator is right. It would be much better just to do the engine swap rather then supercharge a base engine. Cheaper too. Check out this website for prices on 3.8 supercharge right out of the crate. http://www.gmpartsdepot.com Hope this will help you out. Theres 2 types of engines listed on the website. Check into it.

yes the guys at zzp have a turbo kit for our cars witht eh 3.8 2nd gen v-6 they wanted just under 3000.00 for it and that will be for the kit but that dont include anythign else that you would have to add to the car. and labor etc....
honestly i would love to find a o4 and tear it apart for the parts for mine as they would fit right in and be ready to go and you would have the right putter for the car etc.... and can probly get the whole car cheapper then you can the supper charger by its self.
not to mention the install cost
