7th Gen ('06-'07): can i turbo my 3.5 v6?

Default can i turbo my 3.5 v6?

i got a 3.5 v6 that does not have the power i want. i was wondering if im able to put a turbo in or not. im assuming i can with some other work so i was wondering what kind of turbo to put on/ what other work i need to do?

it is some thing i looked into because i have the same engine. you would have to make a custom manifolds for the turbo and a down pype for it and do some creativity for the intake tubes for the turbo and the throtle body.plus you would have to get the computer tuned for the extra air coming in. plus find a after cooler to use or a intercooler. to find what to do is long but my plans are on hold till mine is fully paid off

That's just it, I think you can turbo about anything with an intake and exhaust, but the list of crap you'd have to do/buy usually scares alot of people off. But, if this guy can do it. . . you can do it

since there's a post of someone on here doing it, i would say yes.

there is no write-up so it would all have to be custom and lots of research on your own.

but the down fall is he has the 3.9 v6 7th gen and i am wondering how did he do the exaughst set up for the turbo

he built a custom crossover and it went off to the turbo

i thought if you have a single turbo you would have to hook it up after the cross over that conects the two headers? just wish to see the cross over set up to understand it a little better

he basically made a y pipe in the middle of the crossover that went to his turbo..

just look at his thread called look what I got in the mail
