Default build 3.4 or swap

I've been sitting on the thought of building my monte for a good 2 years now
I'm suck between having a custom built 3.4 bottom end, cams etc to be able to hold a s/c
Down the road not looking to make anymore than 260 crank its gonna be a daily with some pep and look good at the same time or just buy a 3.8 and build that up but then it will be like every other 3.8

Just wondering if I can get rods pistons cams better intake to make it work

If your looking for 260 I would just stick with the 3.4. If you were looking to get 400 plus I'd don't he swap.

I know they exist though. Roller rockers and lifters lighter valve springs and a cam, cold air intake and headers with some larger pipes high flow cat and a nice pair of mufflers and a good tune should get you some good power. Theres always suspension upgrades too.

to hit 260hp with the 3400 you will spend lots of money. to do it NA, you will need:
-Head work $1000+
-Headers $300+
-Exhaust $300-500
-Intake manifold $150
-Cam $350
-Tuning by mail $100 or $500 dyno tuning
this is not gaskets and other misc items that will be needed to complete the build. \

or go boost but a quality turbo setup that will be reliable for daily driving will be at least 3-4,000.

after seeing the totals the cost of a low miles L32 sounds very good and it makes 260hp in stock form. and more power is easily gained for cheap

Hey guys just started to get the bug to hop-up my 2004 Ls. Money and time isn't really the problem finding a place to start. Any pointers? All advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have a custom parts setup to fabricate my own, with only a few parts. But I know alot about turbo setups and how to install one, so it's easy for me to source parts from different vendors and put them together to make them work. You're just better off buying a turbo kit which comes with everything you need. I can definitely help you out if that's the route your going with.

Although, you might think install is a pita, then tuning it properly, but it's a list of procedures you gotta, it's quite simple (for me at least) lol
